As we head towards a well-deserved break, we continue with your recommendations. This week: what you’re watching (binge-able shows or ambient TV, movies, documentaries, YouTube videos, recent discoveries or all-time favorites… ALL welcome). Please comment and engage below!
I would recommend the show on NBC called Connecting (it is also on Hulu). It is a show about a group of friends and their challenges during the pandemic. The show is filmed through a series of virtual meetings but there are moments were they follow certain characters outside of their homes. Each episode takes place at different points during the pandemic where they incorporated the BLM protests, mental health, the election, and individuals personal challenges into the story line. They also talk about the transgender community since one of the characters/actors identifies as a transgender woman. I feel the writers of the show are in their late 20s / early to mid 30s so some of the humor and cultural references I get.

We recently watched The Undoing on HBO which was full of great performances and twists and turns in the story.
